Privacy Policy

Here's what I collect when you use the site, why I collect it, and what I do and don't do with it. Plain language, no legalese spirals.

01Who This Covers

This policy applies to marygoesglobal.netlify.app (and any other domain this site is hosted on), operated by MaryGoesGlobal LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("MGG," "we," "us," or "our"). It covers anyone who visits the site, signs up for the newsletter, downloads a freebie, fills out a form, or books a call.

02What I Collect

I collect a small amount of information, and only what's actually needed to run the site and stay in touch with you.

Information you give me directly:

• Email, first name, and last name — when you sign up for the newsletter or download a free resource like Connected on the Go or The Check-In.
• Responses to assessments and forms — for example, when you take the Relationship Health Check on Typeform.
• Booking information — when you schedule a Clarity Call (name, email, meeting time).
• Payment information — if you buy a paid product. Payment details are handled by Stripe; I don't see or store your card number.
• Anything else you send me — if you email me directly.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic analytics — I use Metricool to understand how people find and use the site. It collects things like page views, referrer, approximate location, device type, and browser. It does not identify you personally.
• Cookies and similar technology — used by the site, Kit, Metricool, and embedded YouTube videos to make things work and to measure engagement. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work if you do.

03Why I Collect It

I use your information to:

• Send you the freebie or resource you asked for.
• Send the newsletter and occasional emails about new content or products (you can unsubscribe any time — every email has a link).
• Deliver and support paid products you buy.
• Understand what's working on the site and improve it.
• Respond to your messages.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the site from misuse.

04Email, Newsletter, and Kit

Email delivery and list management run on Kit (formerly ConvertKit). When you submit the form on a landing page, your information goes to Kit. Kit's privacy practices are covered by Kit's privacy policy.

I use your email to send the resource you requested and to keep you in the loop on things I think you'll actually want — new freebies, launches, honest updates. I don't send filler. Every email has an unsubscribe link; use it any time and you're off the list.

I will never sell, rent, or trade your email address. Full stop.

05Third-Party Tools I Use

The site depends on a handful of tools. Each has its own privacy policy, which I encourage you to read if you care.

• Kit (ConvertKit) — email signups, newsletter, product delivery
• Netlify — website hosting
• Metricool — site analytics
• Typeform — assessments like the Relationship Health Check
• Zoom — Clarity Call scheduling and video calls
• YouTube (Google) — embedded videos
• Stripe — payment processing for paid products

When you interact with one of those embedded or linked tools, their cookies and data practices apply in addition to mine.

06What I Don't Do

• I don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
• I don't share your email with other creators, course sellers, or affiliates.
• I don't run retargeting ad pixels (like Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel) on this site.

07Your Rights

You have real control over your information:

• Access — ask what I have about you.
• Correction — ask me to fix something that's wrong.
• Deletion — ask me to delete your data. I'll do it unless I'm legally required to keep something (for example, tax records for a purchase).
• Unsubscribe — click the link in any email. Takes seconds.
• Portability — ask for a copy of your data.
• Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — I don't sell or share your data for advertising, but if you're in California or another state with similar rights, you can formalize that opt-out by emailing me.

08Kids

The site is meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, email me and I'll delete it.

09How Long I Keep Information

I keep your information as long as you're on the list or until you ask me to delete it, plus any period required by law (for example, payment records for tax and accounting purposes). If you unsubscribe, I keep a minimal record that you unsubscribed so I don't accidentally email you again.

10Security

The site uses HTTPS and I work with reputable vendors (Kit, Netlify, Stripe) that maintain modern security practices. No system on the internet is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11International Users

MGG is based in the United States. If you're accessing the site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. By using the site, you consent to that transfer.

12Changes to This Policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, I'll try to give a heads up through the newsletter or on the site. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated policy.
